Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SAT Hacker. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing SAT Hacker (the “Service”) operated by SAT Hacker, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all policies incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must not use our Service. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

SAT Hacker is an online SAT preparation platform that provides:

  • Adaptive practice questions covering SAT Math, Reading, and Writing
  • An AI-powered tutor (“Hacker”) providing personalized instructional guidance
  • Desmos and TI-Nspire CAS calculator strategies on math questions
  • Personalized study plans based on diagnostic and College Board practice test data
  • Progress tracking, score predictions, and performance analytics
  • Full-length practice tests and flashcard review tools

SAT Hacker is an independent educational product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board, Educational Testing Service, or any other official SAT administrator.

3. User Accounts

To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately at support@sat-hacker.com of any unauthorized account access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or that we reasonably believe are being misused. One account per student is permitted unless you subscribe to a family plan.

4. Subscription and Billing

SAT Hacker offers the following subscription tiers:

  • Free Tier — Limited access to diagnostic tools and sample questions. No credit card required.
  • Pro Monthly — Full access billed at $49/month.
  • Pro Quarterly — Full access billed at $117 every three months ($39/month equivalent).
  • Pro Annual — Full access billed at $300/year ($25/month equivalent). Includes the Score Improvement Promise.

All paid subscriptions are billed in advance and auto-renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time except where required by applicable law or as described in Section 5.

We use industry-standard payment processors and do not store your full credit card details on our servers. Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable sales tax based on your jurisdiction.

5. Score Improvement Promise

SAT Hacker offers a Score Improvement Promise to qualifying Pro Annual subscribers. To be eligible for a full refund under this promise, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • You are subscribed to the Pro Annual plan.
  • You completed a baseline diagnostic within the first 7 days of subscribing.
  • You completed a minimum of 100 scored practice questions across at least 30 separate calendar days within your subscription year.
  • Your in-platform estimated score at the end of your subscription year is not higher than your baseline diagnostic score.
  • You submit your refund claim within 60 days of your annual plan renewal date.

Refunds under this promise cover the most recent annual subscription payment only and are processed within 10 business days. The Score Improvement Promise measures progress using SAT Hacker's internal score predictor; it does not guarantee improvement on official College Board administrations. This promise is available to first-time Pro Annual subscribers only and is non-transferable.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial educational purposes. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Sharing your account credentials with others or allowing others to use your account
  • Reselling, licensing, or commercially distributing access to the Service or any of its content
  • Scraping, crawling, or programmatically downloading questions, answers, strategies, or any other content from the platform
  • Reproducing, distributing, or publishing SAT Hacker question content in any format without written permission
  • Using the platform to facilitate academic dishonesty, including sharing specific test questions or answers with others during an active testing period
  • Attempting to circumvent, hack, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service
  • Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other harmful code

Violations of this section may result in immediate account termination without refund and may be referred to appropriate authorities where warranted.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on SAT Hacker — including but not limited to practice questions, explanations, calculator strategies, study guides, AI tutor responses, software, graphics, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to SAT Hacker, Inc. and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other content to us (“User Content”), you grant SAT Hacker a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate that content into the Service without compensation to you. You represent that you have all necessary rights to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

SAT Hacker includes an AI-powered tutoring assistant called “Hacker,” powered by Anthropic's Claude language model. Hacker provides educational guidance, explanations, and hints to support your learning.

Important limitations: AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Hacker is not a licensed teacher, counselor, or subject-matter expert. Nothing Hacker says constitutes professional academic advice. You should verify important information — especially specific test-taking rules, College Board policies, or admissions requirements — through official sources.

SAT Hacker makes no warranty that AI tutor content is error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. We continuously work to improve accuracy but cannot guarantee perfect results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SAT Hacker, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to SAT Hacker in the twelve months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitation of liability exclusions; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Dispute Resolution

Binding Arbitration. If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in San Francisco, California, or via video conference at either party's election. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver. You agree to resolve disputes with SAT Hacker only on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where preempted by federal law.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a notice in your account dashboard at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date and contact us to cancel your subscription.
